Die qualitative Analyse der aktuellen kirchlichen Ausbildungsstandards der Schweiz, Deutschlands und Osterreichs zeigt: Im Unterschied zu den Vorgangertexten wird Spiritualitat heute durchgangig thematisiert und funktional von der kunftigen Berufsaufgabe her entwickelt. Die Verbindung von Spiritualitat und Funktionalitat ist ein Proprium der evangelischen Ausbildung des deutschen Sprachraums, das in der Okumene unbekannt ist. Es birgt, da Spiritualitat geradezu ein Gegenentwurf zu Funktionalitat ist, ein Konfliktpotential. Die Autorin bearbeitet diesen Konflikt, indem sie auf Schleiermachers Unterscheidung zwischen wirksamem und darstellendem Handeln zuruckgreift.
