He is confident, how ever, that the substance of each sentence is carefully preserved, and in almost all, that the language is as faithfully recorded as the circumstances of the case permit. He is bound, in justice to himself, as well as to the noble Earl, to add, that whatever merits or demeritsthe report may possess, rest with the Reporter, as his Lordship never has seen or even been informed of the report, and knows nothing whatever of this publication.
