- Seller's Description:
- Fine; Collectible. On "Diamond" Spandau brought together the sounds of electro-pop and the New Wave/New Romantic movement with their strong love and interest for American funk/soul. For those who love songs like "True" and "Gold", these earlier works may not be for you. On the other hand, if your only knowledge of Spandau Ballet is the later work, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the earlier. Fans of bands like Gang Of Four, The Cure, Style Council, etc. will most likely enjoy "Diamond". Fans of the current 80s sound (bands like Interpol, ! ! ! , Radio 4, Hot Hot Heat, etc. ) will like it as well. the original Chrysalis CHR 1353 STEREO lp from 1982. Other than a slight cover corner crease, both the cover and the record are in positively excellent condition. There are no visible scratches. Although (as my feedback indicates) I attempt to describe records as accurately as possible--through VISUAL inspection--please understand that you are purchasing a used RECORD----records are known to have clicks, pops, distortions, even occasional slight warping. These flaws may be inherent even in brand new records. If you are expecting perfect sound----buy a CD!
