And all these songs are classics: Fred Wesley & the J.B.s' vamping "Doing it to Death," Don Covay's impassioned "I Was Checkin' Out She Was Checkin' In," Gladys Knight's stylish "Midnight Train to Georgia," Eddie Kendricks' "Keep on Truckin', Pt. 1" and the sultry Memphis soul of Ann Peebles' "I Can't Stand the Rain."
