Jahrhundert war nicht nur ein Jahrhundert gro???er politischer Ereignisse wie der Erbfolgekriege, der Gr???ndung der Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika oder der Franz???sischen Revolution. Viel mehr fallen in diese Zeit auch bedeutende gesellschaftliche Str???mungen, die wohl gr??????te unter ihnen ist die Zeit der "Aufkl???rung", aber auch die sogenannte "Anglophilie" f???llt darunter. Aus heutiger Sicht manifestiert sich die deutsche Anglophilie vor allem in Reiseberichten deutschsprachiger Englandreisender. Ein Paradebeispiel dieser Schreibkunst soll daher Grundlage dieser Arbeit werden: Sophie von la Roche: Tagebuch einer Reise durch Holland und England, genauer der Teil dieses Werkes, welcher sich mit London besch???ftigt. Diese Einschr???nkung muss einerseits vorgenommen werden, um den Rahmen dieser Arbeit nicht zu sprengen, auf der anderen Seite l???sst sich der thematische Schwerpunkt dieser Arbeit sehr gut erarbeiten. Ziel ist es, eine Spielart der Anglophilie aufzuzeigen, interessant ist dabei vor allem die Tatsache, dass Sophie von La Roche als Frau einen anderen Blickwinkel auf das Gesehene hat und deshalb durchaus auch Themen er???rtert, welche M???nner nicht zum Gegenstand ihrer Arbeit gemacht haben. Andersherum gilt das nat???rlich genauso, La Roche spart typische "M???nnerthemen" aus. Daher sei daran erinnert, dass Anglophilie f???r jeden Menschen anders gewichtet ist und sich daher anders ausdr???ckt, diese Arbeit kann unm???glich Anglophile als Ganzes aufzeigen, viel eher soll sie Grundlage f???r sp???tere Vergleiche sein, indem sie La Roches Verst???ndnis von Anglophilie aufzeigt, so dass man darauf aufbauend La Roche mit anderen Autoren vergleichen kann.
