This history deals with the beginning of Americana. It explains how the Sons of Liberty came to be formed, what they did, and why they passed into history. It strips away the myths of their most notorious actions, the Stamp Act Riots and the Tea Parties (there were about sixty of them, not just one in Boston), and gives a more accurate account of what happened. It describes how the colonials banded together to resist British tyranny and stop money from being unjustly taken out of American pockets. In this work are some famous Americans, some not so famous, and even one or two who are infamous. There are people from both sides of the Atlantic Ocean, Friends of America in England (and some enemies) and loyalists in the American colonies who were more afraid of social upheaval than they were of being denied some of their rights under the British Constitution. There are very few villains. Mostly there are people who thought they were doing what was best for themselves and their country, until a corrupt Parliament in London and hotheads in the colonies forced matters into irreconcilable conflict.
