T.P.L. 2791. Sabin 53387. Lande cites this as first issue with the errata and starred page numbers at pages 143-144. Peel (3)-223. -George Mountain was the Anglican bishop of Montreal and of Quebec. There are several descriptive notes in the text which contain much information on the author's observations while on tour in the North-West and on his stay among the Indians of the Red River country. The lithographed frontis is an early view of Bishop's University. The other three attractive litho plates are "Canoe"; "Indian Cradle"; and "Indian Woman and Child"
