The lambs in Lot 6 did not eat as much feed as did those in either of the other self-fed lots and gained but little more than the lambs that were hand-fed. The lambs fed both corn and scabby barley shrank less in shipping than did those in any of the other lots except Lot 4. The slaughter data show a high percentage of strong and heavy weight carcasses in all lots. However, when these lambs were sold there was but slight discrimination against the heavier lambs.
