Gremoli is a spirited New Orleans jazz band who emphasizes ensembles on a variety of melodic pieces. The sextet (clarinetist Ron Going, cornetist Ted Thomas, trombonist Jim Leigh, banjoist Vic Loring, bassist Mike Fay, and drummer Bert Thompson, with guest pianist Frank Thomas on two of the dozen pieces included on this CD) is often hard-driving.
