Very Good- Octavo. 4 Vols. Black cloth bindings, silver titles on spines, author's initials in silver on front board of each volume. Head of spine on Volumes 1 and 2 split but bindings of all four are tight. Pages bright, clean and unmarked throughout. Slipcase shows wear, with stain to top and spotting/foxing on all sides. Slipcase remains sturdy and intact otherwise. Sorokin's prolific output included 37 books and more than 400 articles. Sorokin's best known work, this title “set the tone for the condemnation of our Sensate culture which is prominent in all of Sorokin's writings since 1937.
