The collection presents a broad-based introduction to the principles of social work practice, with chapters written by expert practitioners and scholars from across Canada. The following four new chapters have been added to the second edition: Spirituality in Social Work Practice; International and Globalization Factors in Canadian Social Work Practice; Mediation in Social Work Practice; and Record Keeping in Social Work Practice. Twenty-six of the original forty-four chapters have also been revised and updated references have been added where possible. Finally, the text has been reorganized into ten new parts to emphasis the link between social work theory and practice.
