Not a personal story
I got this book assuming since it was written by Mr Blatt that it would be his personal story of his time at Sobibor and his experiences in the revolt. The first part is just a historical accounting of the Nazi "Final Solution" which was just well known facts and dates. Then a lot of the Sobibor material was again just reporting historical facts as if he were simply a historian passing along information he gathered. There is some personal data of his time there but it is not the bulk of the book.
