Dear Reader, Hey, it's me, San... the guy who wrote the book! I am excited that you are embarking on a new journey towards an undergraduate education. Good for you! I know that you are going to do magnificently! Well, maybe. I have to be honest with you-this is really only going to happen if you have the right skills and the proper motivation. From a professor's perspective, there are some things that you might not know about school yet. And, if you don't read this book, you are going to learn about them the hard way. Believe it. In my time as a professor I have learned that although most university students are smart and capable, many of them go about their educations in a fashion that does not lead to success. This is because knowing what it takes to do well in college is never learned in high school, and really, it is never explicitly taught in college either. There are simple formulas for doing well in school and this book was written to give you some of the keys to academic excellence. One day you will be a senior on campus and you will realize that it is too late to change your grades, your major, or your career trajectory. Hopefully, if you did it right, you will have set yourself up for a successful future. Ultimately, however, this is up to you; your education is in your own hands. Read this book and learn what it takes to do well in college... your future self will thank you!
