Title says it all!

This is a nice mix of quite well-known songs (Aretha and Percy, also Sam and Dave selections) with songs not on any of my large collection of compilation CDs. I bought it for Chris Bartley's "The Sweetest Thing This Side of Heaven" (written by Van McCoy, how can you go wrong?) and other favorites ("Close Your Eyes" and "Dry Your Eyes" especially), but found myself loving several other songs as well. "If You Need Me" (by the wicked Pickett, not King Solomon's very good version) and "Stay With Me" by Lorraine Ellison, who could give Lady Soul a run for the money (never thought I'd say anything remotely against Aretha), are really worth buying the CD for. Had not even heard of Howard Tate ("Get it While You Can") before listening to this, but hope to hear more of him. Rhino always delivers the goods, but I think this is one of their best.
