I wasn't interested in figure skating until people like Dorothy Hamill won the Olympics. Her story explains why, she had a passion at a young age, but she came from a middle class family, that struggled personally and financially to support her passion. To me her face tells it all, she had a trusting heart. I always wondered about her relationship with Dino Martin, whom she called Dean Paul. I don't think the media ever told the true story, but this book does because it comes from Dorothy. Even if you don't like figure skating, this book talks about one persons struggle to achieve a dream.
