The book starts with two young people, Silver Feather, a handsome Indian, and the daughter of a landlord who owns Dettrow Manor, a Mississippi plantation, and both share a friendship and feelings for each other that stay with them. The tribe that Silver Feather belons to are slaves to her cruel stepfather. Silver Feather and the girl meet in a passageway to the mansion where the decision is made for her to escape. The escape is sucessful, but trouble is on the horizon. You must read the book to find out what happens. The book was very interesting and I got caught up in it. The love that Siver Feather and Diana have for each other is very intimate and wonderful. This book is a must read. The characters are interesting and the book keeps your attention focused. This is one of Cassie Edward's finest!
