Silver Dollar, Baby Doe and HAW
I believe that "Silver Dollar" is the best biography of the Tabor family that exists! Many artifacts of the Tabor silver bonanza remain in Leadville today: Tabor Opera House, Tabor Grand hotel (with the bay window built so that Baby Doe could see clearly Mt. Massive and Mt. Elbert (the highest peak in Colorado)), the Matchless Mine.
Walking the streets of Leadville, one can sense the excitement and pathos that took place there.
