Seller's Description:
Fine in Very Good jacket. Size: 8vo-over 7.75"-9.75" tall; First edition paperback in complete but wrinkled, photo illustrated dust wrapper in new mylar. Book is dedicated by author Pat Lyne on title page and includes a typed, hand signed letter laid in from the author to a book buyer and includes an errata note about the text on said letter. 248pp text is crisp and clean with mapped endpapers. Former owner's small farm sticker at head of mapped endpaper along side of the author's personal promo sticker for this book. Very rare Connemara history. The first book written that offers a detailed look at the breed and how it evolved, along with how the Society and stud book were born. It contains an examination of the stallion blood lines on which the breed hinges today, including content on the time when the society began introducing crosses with additions by Thoroughbreds, Irish Draughts and Arabians. Reference to the earliest Connemara Pony Society stud books and access to the Society's stallion records have made it possible to provide so comprehensive a study.
