In the book Shroud (1977), journalist Robert K. Wilcox relates to us his journeys to Portugal, Italy, France, England, and numerous cities in the United States as he presents his findings on the Shroud of Turin which many believe to be the burial cloth of Jesus Christ. The 1973 Exposition of the Shroud is what triggered the author's interest in this fascinating topic. In writing this fast-paced and informative book, Wilcox interviewed numerous religious leaders, scientists, doctors, and other experts. Numerous photographs are included in the narrative and a bibliography is included as well. While this is an older book about the Shroud of Turin (there are many newer books about the Shroud available with more up to date information), I found this narrative to be a good starting point in one's quest to understand the mysterious Shroud of Turin.
