The following review from the editor of the Florida State Poets Association's annual anthology, Cadence , offers a skilled insight into the poet's work. When I read one of Mary Rogers-Grantham's poems or hear her reading at a poetry event, I feel the touch of a cool breeze and, in the distance, birds singing. I'm convinced all the beauty life has to offer is right there at our fingertips if we'll only reach out and take it gently in our hands, as she does in this stanza from Blue Mists, a tribute to her late husband: "Sometimes, in my dreams / I wake in a ridge of hills that rise / like warm mists embracing me." Mary Rogers-Grantham is a poet of exceptional perception, sensitivity, and talent. - Gary Broughman, Editor, Cadence Anthology MARY ROGERS-GRANTHAM is an Arkansas native, award winning poet, and a college professor. She lives and teaches in Flagler County, Florida, and is an active member of the Florida State Poets Association.
