The first release tied in with Blood Music, this EP showed how the band was ever more interested in pursuing individual sonic impulses while still somehow sounding like Chapterhouse. A neat trick, it has to be said! "She's a Vision" is genuine Chapterhouserockin' music, with more guitar riff action blending in with the stronger dance groove. Vocals are a bit more upfront too, though not with the best of results. The ante is upped further with "Don't Look Down," with the soft, almost twinkly beginning suddenly seared through by guitar and then reasonably OK techno circa 1992. A Drum Club mix of said song follows, a fair enough effort keeping some of the initial parts of the song but otherwise floating off in their own progressive house style. "For What It's Worth," listed as a demo, concludes the release with a fine guitar chime and chug, wispy vocals afloat as per usual. ~ Ned Raggett, Rovi
