In-the-know travelers visit South Ethiopia for its unique tribes, and travel the Historical Circuit in North Ethiopia, to see the most unique churches in the world; hewn out of rock, connected by tunnels, resembling an underground Petra! This Ethiopian Orthodox Christian area has: symbolic graves for Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; the Star of David on church ceilings; paintings of Jesus Christ and Noah's Ark together; is the reputed resting place of The Ark of the Covenant; and then throw in King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba for good measure.
