Shattered was a great 5 star read and book one in The Torzial Affair series.
I was pulled right in from the beginning and couldn't put it down until I was done. This is even better than the first series and I loved that one as well.
Jenny and Brian meet while they are best man and maid of honor for their best friends wedding. They have an instant connection that gets a little heated, Brian does something that triggers an unexpected reaction from Jenny and she flees.
He is intrigued by her and wants to know more about her and why she fled. He typically doesn't want anything more than one night but something is different this time.
Jenny owns Torzial and she doesn't really know who Brian is. He's got a lot more power than she realizes. She was instantly attracted to him and when these two reconnect we get quite the hot and steamy scenes.
There is so much going on and my emotions were all over the place. There are some things from the past that come up and create challenges. I really loved both Brian and Jenny they really complimented each other. I will also say that there are some scenes that may be triggers for some. All of the secondary characters were great. Via does a great job of pulling you right in with her writing. I highly recommend this series and the one prior you will love them. I look forward to reading more from this author.
