No former owner's name or marks. Text is clean, Binding is strong. Rough cut pages, Vol 2 has some pages uncut. Minor foxing on first & last few pages. Some B & W illustrations. Blue cloth covers, ornate gold decoration with the lettering, a few minor scratches and marks. Vol 2 has a minor crease in front. Very nice overall set.
