Darius was a fan-favorite character of the series. If you liked him in the show, you'll enjoy this book very much. In fact, the book easily is more about Darius than it is about Duncan. Neason does a very good job with Darius' character. It was particularly neat how Darius story intertwines legendary immortals with the fall of Rome. I really enjoyed the book, but decided to give it the rating I did simply because the book was very predictable. I could tell how things would end after the first 20 pages or so. Still, the bulk of the book involves Darius' past and, although we know the basics of Darius' story from the show, this book dives a little deeper into it than the TV show did and that was quite enjoyable.
