Siddur (prayerbook) Tov leHodot is the second volume of an ongoing project dedicated to inspiring Jewish meaning and helping those finding their way into Jewish prayer. Siddur Tov leHodot is arranged according to the current Shabbat Evening customs of many Traditional Egalitarian communities. It is fully transliterated and partially translated. Some translations within this Prayerbook are truly translations, while others are attempts to lyrically convey a theme within the Hebrew text. A special feature of this siddur is a translation of Shir HaShirim , the Song of Songs, by Rabbi Shefa Gold. As some follow either the Sephardic custom of chanting Shir HaShirim every Friday night before the evening service or the Chassidic custom of chanting it every Friday afternoon, the inclusion of Shir HaShirim in this volume is meant as both cultural inclusion and religious experimentation. May the words of our mouths and the meditations of our hearts find favor in the eyes of God and people! May our collective prayers strengthen us all to live lives of meaning!
