Some places are, of course, complete inventions, again to fit the storyline though they are based on places I have known and they may well exist exactly as described. It's just that I haven't been there yet. Similarly, some of the events and situations described were real though modified, others were simply invented but could well have existed at the time. Then there are the characters themselves. This is, of course, a work of fiction with the customary disclaimer that they bear no resemblance to persons living or dead, and so on. In other words, they aren't real except in my head where their reality is without question and I'm really very fond of them. Maybe you will like them too.
