Apart from the three tunes from Everything ("Be With You," "I'll Set You Free," "Crash and Burn"), which are good but a little anonymous, the collection spotlights the band's exceptional skills as interpretive pop-rockers, as well as their knack for turning out irresistible guitar-pop originals. Apart from the two big hits from Different Light, the compilation also contains the two MTV hits from their debut ("Hero Takes a Fall," "Going Down to Liverpool"), their excellent cover of Big Star's "September Gurls," and two more highlights from All Over the Place ("Dover Beach," "James").
