Es sind Bilder wie sie uns im Alltag begegnen, eine ???u???erliche Sicht auf zwei Religionen, die in ihrem Kern scheinbar sehr weit auseinander liegen. [...] Ist ein christlich-buddhistischer Dialog angesichts dieser grundlegenden Gegens???tze ???berhaupt m???glich? Unter Beachtung dieser Leitfrage werde ich im Folgenden unterschiedliche Erl???sungsvorstellungen gegen???berstellen und vergleichen. Ich beginne mit der buddhistischen Auffassung, indem ich zun???chst den allgemeinen Erl???sungsweg aufzeige, der f???r die verschiedenen Schulen Geltung hat, sowie das einheitliche Ziel des Wegs, die Erleuchtung bzw. das Nirvana. Dar???ber hinaus werde ich die Unterschiede in der jeweiligen Auffassung des Erl???sungswegs im Mahayana- und Theravada-Buddhismus aufzeigen. Im zweiten Teil werde ich das christliche Erl???sungsverst???ndnis sowohl im Alten als auch im Neuen Testament darstellen und im letzen Abschnitt schlie???lich konkret auf Gemeinsamkeiten und Unterschiede von Buddhismus und Christentum eingehen. Der Schwerpunkt wird dabei einerseits auf der buddhistischen Lehre und andererseits auf einem direkten interreligi???sen Vergleich liegen.
