I came across this book by accident! I was first drawn to the illustrator Dennis Jones by his "Read With Me" Bible. My daughter is learning to read and I thought I could combine my love (art) with her new skill. After buying that Bible, I found this and was amazed to realize there were no words! I have two more children who are not reading so I had to get this book too! It is more than I ever expected! Realistic art does not yet appeal to most pre-readers, but cartoons do! These illustrations are silly but tell the story with as much conviction as the written WORD OF GOD! It is an honor to sit with my children and look at this book together. They get it!
