Secrets of the Charles is a first-place winner of the 2010 Royal Palm Literary Awards. SUSAN BOYD retired from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives(ATF) in 2007. Her last post of duty was Boston, Massachusetts, the backdrop toSecrets of the Charles. Although half of her career was spent in the Washington, DC area, eight transfers moved Susan to destinations along the East coast from the south (Florida) to the north (Massachusetts). Pursuing her literary interests in retirement, she has written several award-winning shortstories, two of which have been published in the Creative Writers anthology, Journeys. Enjoying an active life, she is an avid pickleball player, golfer, bridge player, and bowler. Susan resides in The Villages, Florida with her husband, Larry.
