Scooby Doo :Legend of the Phantosaur is about the gang going away so that Shaggy can get some rest and relaxation away from all of the monsters and scary creatures. They go to a resort ran by a scientist who tell them about the legend of the phantosaur. Shaggy undergoes hyponotherapy to cure his condition. He becomes brave whenever he hears the word bad. This leads to him beating up a motorcycle gang and being challenged by its leader to a race.The gang encounter the phantosaur when they decide to visit the cave of an archaeological dig. The gang discover that a hoax is being perpertrated by individuals who want the real phantosaur for themselves. They plan to scare everyone away while they remove the ancient dinosaur which is encased in crystal. After explosives in the cave are accidently set off Shaggy has to find his inner courage to save them all.
