Sample one of the four sonatas by Domenico Scarlatti at the beginning: Debargue is far from the first pianist to include Scarlatti in a modern piano recital, but rarely has Scarlatti sounded so Chopin-esque. Romantic standards by Grieg and Schumann are very strong, and final newly composed (by Debargue himself) variation on the opening sonata is also a novel touch.
