A Christmas Eve crisis strikes Toyland. Santa's lead reindeer (including Rudolph) are sick. Santa calmly calls lead Toyland citizens in selecting a replacement team. This winning tale teaches young readers the value and importance of finding, identifying, accepting and celebrating the differences and unique gifts within each of us. The challenging charge of developing character, leadership and respect is delicately woven into this Christmas story that promises to continue giving and teaching God given talents. Genie is a daughter of missionary parents, a wife, mother, grandmother, and is retired, after thirty-four years as a classroom teacher, school counselor, and school principal. She is a graduate of Lee University, the University of South Florida, and holds graduate degrees from the University of West Georgia. She is an accomplished organist and pianist, and a widely traveled motivational speaker who delights in encouraging children, educators, parents and grandparents in countries around the world. Genie and her husband, James, live in Evans, Georgia. They enjoy traveling, especially cruising, and spending time with their children and grandchildren. Margaret began her interest in art as a young girl. She is a self-taught artist, dabbling in pastels, charcoal, oil, acrylics, quilting, basketry, pottery and murals. She began the study of watercolors in 2002 and launched her journey of experiments, disasters and successes. Margaret is a freelance artist and enjoys producing watercolors for fun, commission and sale. Santa's 911 Meeting is her first children's book illustration. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English from The University of North Carolina-Charlotte and her Master of Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University. The Georgia native and retired teacher lives in Canton, Georgia with her husband and several pets. Margaret enjoys spending time with her two sons, their wives and her three granddaughters.
