The book includes twelve papers by seventeen contributors from divergent backgrounds in European and American linguistics, P inian grammar, and computer science that converge in dealing with contemporary issues in Sanskrit syntax. Hock provides a general survey of research on Sanskrit syntax. Other papers deal with word order, discourse analysis, word classification, ellipsis and lexical argument structure, and P inian methodology, rule syntax, and computational implementation.
