This is a series of road trips in an artistic sense, inclusive of poetry and prose and pictorials. Along the roads traveled one finds places of antiquities and salvage, and the distinctions are not always as great. They say beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, yet that must also mean to include the collectors and the scavengers with visions of what is near and far as the next horizon, and the next prized visual for its potential, respectively. As I looked at what I found, there was a newness in the sense of the word doubling for wilderness; that what we see are personal experiences different from the familiar, amplifying the possibilities of how we declare it out loud. The conclusions one draws stand somewhere between strange and heartfelt appreciation, and it was not until I came home that I seem to have understood, because I had become a more willing participant.
