Unfortunately I didn't read the first book,Stags, which was a mistake as so much in this book centred around the first one so most of the time I didn't know what was being spoken about or who certain people were so I would definitely read Stags first and then I think you will enjoy this one.
It is their final year and everything for Greer now depends on putting on a play to the school to get a good drama result. Like everything at Stags it had to be Elizabethan and Greer wanted something different from the Shakespeare that was normally done.
She was sitting in her room one night when a manuscript was put under her door, she picked it up and opened the door but no one was around. Greer took it inside to read it and it was just the first act of The Isle of Dogs.
It turned out that there was something so bad about this play that the writer was put into prison, all theatres closed and all manuscripts burned or at least they were meant to be.
If you read Stags then I would recommend this one
