Helen Gill Viljoen, who also edited The Brantwood Diary of John Ruskin, was a consummate scholar. Her research into the work and life of Ruskin are a massive contribution to our knowledge of this great man.
'Ruskin's Scottish Heritage- a Prelude' was to have been the beginning of a series of works about Ruskin but sadly she did not live long enough to complete that series. Nevertheless, the Prelude is a most valuable and fascinating resource for those who study JR.
