The book is very well written and covers Ruffian's career clearly and concisely. It doesn't have the emotional impact of Ruffian:Burning From the Start but it is more accessible and does a better job of assessing her, objectively, as a racehorse. If you are interested in her story you will want this book on your shelves. The photos are a plus
