This book is, for the most part, relentlessly dark and brutal flights of fancy. The first half of the book is just crushing, wall-to-wall depression. Stories of child murder, philosophic musings by a future Stalin, and a man named Dog Eater who exacts insanely violent revenge on society. This is broken up by two of the funniest pieces Rollins has written, the satirical "To Ann Hitler With Love", and "Kill Whitey". These (articles? short stories?) are definetly made all the more funny by the incredible darkness that bookends them. For dark days only.
