The choral music of Ronald Corp lies solidly in the tradition of contemporary Anglican church music. What distinguishes his work from that of the many British composers who write in this unabashedly conservative idiom is the naturalness of his text setting and his ability to use very simple gestures to create powerfully dramatic music.
