BEE World courses lead students to study God's word through the text and questions that are designed to encourage students to "know, be, and do." This course is a study of one of the most significant books of the New Testament: Paul s magnum opus, the epistle to the Romans. This letter has had an enormous impact on the history of the church and in fact was a pivotal document of the Protestant Reformation. Both Martin Luther and John Wesley were profoundly impacted by this work and found Christ through its pages. This course is the second part of a study of Paul s epistles to the Galatians and Romans. In this course students will study Paul s letter to the Romans and look at the historical background and examine the vital theological issues in the early church in Rome. Students will gain new insights into Christian life and service as they apply the teaching of this epistle to contemporary situations. The lessons in this course are grouped into two units. In Unit 1, students will study Paul s extensive explanation of the gospel as he looks at man s need of and God s provision for salvation, our new life of freedom, and our life in the Spirit. Unit 2 examines the second half of the book of Romans where Paul applies the gospel to a Christian s daily life. Students will look at Paul s words about the gospel for both Jew and Gentile, the Christian walk according to the truth of the gospel, and finally the gospel and the church. Romans was Paul s summary of the Christian teaching. There is no more magnificent statement of the doctrines of grace than those found in this letter. We pray that this course will richly impact the students."
