Wenn der Zahnarzt bei Kindern ein suboptimales fr???hes kraniofaziales Wachstum und eine suboptimale kraniofaziale Entwicklung oder andere Risikofaktoren erkennt, kann dies zu einer ???rztlichen ???berweisung oder einem kieferorthop???dischen Eingriff f???hren, um SRBD zu behandeln und/oder zu verhindern. Zur Behandlung von SRBD stehen verschiedene chirurgische Verfahren zur Verf???gung. Orale Apparaturen, insbesondere ma???gefertigte, titrierbare Ger???te, k???nnen die SRBD bei erwachsenen Patienten im Vergleich zu keiner Therapie oder Placeboger???ten verbessern. Die Therapie mit oralen Ger???ten (OAT) kann die OSA bei erwachsenen Patienten verbessern, insbesondere bei Patienten, die den kontinuierlichen positiven Atemwegsdruck (CPAP) nicht vertragen.
