In a glow of health and generosity, he shares them with the few people he meets, a ten-year-old autistic girl and her mother, a cancer patient, a comatose girl and her father, a Japanese tycoon, among others, and his long empty mansion is filled with life and guests. But World War Three begins and one other guest joins this small group of 'illuminati', a recipient of a faulty wafer, a first test case, Claire, with exponentially expanded powers of mind over everything and everyone, except love. So begin the adventures of this group of mental samurai to survive and help others survive in a dizzying spin of events. States are not far behind to mass produce chips and to discover the integration of minds and computers leads to the disintegration of identity. Plans are hatched to dose and subjugate everyone.
