The songs are wide-ranging and, although they seem thrown together with little regard to context or pacing, do a fairly good job of recreating what 45 minutes or so of listening to a decent AM station would have been like. To keep things close to exciting there are a couple of disco hits (KC & the Sunshine Band's "I'm Your Boogie Man" and Rose Royce's "I Wanna Get Next to You") and the sublimely silly soul of the Floaters' "Float On." The collection is a bit on the skimpy side to be considered an essential purchase.
