Skill development, then, is best done by creating relationships as an integral part of the training. This is non-traditional, because the "normal" process is to train the leader. Then, the leader trains or motivates the team to follow. Collaboratively developing the skills that the leader and those they lead delivers shared understanding and effective team building. This is the challenge that is addressed in this work.
