Very Good- Published not long after the end of the Korean War, this book was written by a Major in the US Army (formerly Commanding General 2nd Infantry Division) and contains many illustrations demonstrating tactics he describes. There are chapters on: Defense in General, Fundamentals of Defense, Basic Considerations for Squad Defense, The Weapons Squad, The Reserve Platoon, and Conduct of the Defense, as well as Sample Platoon Defense Order, Sample Squad Defense Order, etc. There is shelfwear to the original pictorial publisher's covers, else this is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings, no previous owner names and no bookplates. This is a stated first edition (May 1955). He also wrote: "Rifle Squad and Platoon Attack Illustrated"; B&W Illustrations; 8vo, 8"-9" tall; 104 pages; Signed by All Authors.
