Meanwhile Lincoln Sackett and Clay Butler are on the trail of Lawrence Bateman. Bateman was partner's in a saloon in Tucson, Arizona with Crystal Bell, but had taken their entire savings and left the area under the guise of looking for another saloon to purchase. The trail leads to a shootout between Butler and Bateman. This is another fast moving western from Mason that will keep the reader turning pages.
