No one can argue with the fact that Asha Bhosle is India's greatest and most recorded singer in soundtrack history, probably in any soundtrack history, for that matter. Her decision to re-record R.D. Burman's favorite tunes from his own cinematic and pop careers is a curious one, but bears fine fruit.
