Ex-library, with library markings and sticker at spine, bookplate at front paste down, card pocket at rear paste down, and pocket remnant at RFEP. Full leather with tooled decoration, scratched, peeling, with moderate general edgewear and loss to spine head. Spine square. Binding cracked to inner hinges, and the FFEP is nearly loose, hanging on only at the bottom of the gutter, but binding is original and else intact-sound through text. Prior owner's name neatly inked to FFEP. Pages lightly toned and foxed throughout; interior else clean, with no notes, underlining, or other reader's markings found in the text. Year: 1794.

Very Good in Very Good jacket. Volume 4 only (out a 5 volume set). Full brown leather covers. 658pp. (Pagination starts at 1926 and ends at 2584) plus 34-page "Table of Principal Matters." Covers and spine have rubbing, and chipping (about 1/4 of the spine is missing at it's head and foot). Joints are starting, but still holding. Insect damage to a portion of the pages in the beginning of the book. Binding is tight. Moderate foxing and staining throughout. Text body is free from underlining, highlighting, or notes. Full refund if not satisfied.
